Overview
PersonalCapsule is built with privacy as a core principle. Your capsules, decisions, goals, memories and letters are deeply personal, and they stay that way.
Data Collection
PersonalCapsule does not collect, store or transmit personal capsule content to external servers. Your journal text, capsule content, photos, voice recordings, goals, decisions, letters and memories are not collected.
The app may send minimal anonymous business events, such as a download/open equivalent or purchase notification, so the developer can understand App Store performance over time. These events are not linked to your identity and do not include your private capsule content.
Data Storage
All your data is stored locally on your device and can optionally sync through Apple's iCloud service. We have no access to your iCloud data. Only you, through your Apple ID, can access your capsules.
Analytics
PersonalCapsule does not track detailed user behavior, feature funnels or what you write inside the app. We only use lightweight, anonymous business metrics to understand high-level App Store performance, such as downloads and purchases.
Third-Party Services
PersonalCapsule uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases and Apple's iCloud for data synchronization. These services are governed by Apple's own privacy policies.
For lightweight business metrics, PersonalCapsule may use backend infrastructure to receive anonymous download/open and purchase notifications. This does not include your private capsule content, photos, voice recordings or personal memories.
Biometric Data
If you enable Face ID or Touch ID lock, biometric authentication is handled entirely by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework on your device. No biometric data is accessed, stored or transmitted by PersonalCapsule.
Children's Privacy
PersonalCapsule does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require personal information to function.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
